Kyros Engineering provides RoHS-compliant PCB design services — multilayer, mixed-signal, high-speed and power boards — laid out for production and released as a controlled fabrication package: gerbers, netlist, stackup, assembly drawings and a bill of materials that agree with one another. Every design is DFM-reviewed against the fabricator's real capabilities before release, because the expensive respin is rarely the routing — it is the package the board house had to interpret.

Much of the layout work that reaches us is a board that already exists. It passed a design review, it went to fabrication, and something came back wrong — a footprint that did not match the part that was actually sourced, a stackup the fabricator quietly substituted, a revision where the bill of materials and the assembly drawing disagreed about one reference designator.

None of those are routing failures. They are release failures, and they cost a build cycle each. We treat the released package as the deliverable, not the board file.

What we lay out

Boards where the layout is load-bearing — where placement and stackup decide whether the circuit works, not just whether it fits.

  • Multilayer digital and mixed-signal boards, 2 to 12+ layers, with a stackup chosen against real impedance and return-path requirements
  • High-speed interfaces with length matching, controlled impedance and deliberate reference-plane continuity
  • Low-noise analog and instrumentation front ends, where grounding and guarding decide the noise floor
  • Power stages — switching converters, gate drive, high-current paths, thermal relief, and creepage and clearance for the actual working voltage
  • Rigid-flex and space-constrained builds, where the mechanical and electrical constraints get argued out together rather than in sequence

The release discipline

A fabrication package is a contract with the board house. Ours is generated from one source of truth and checked before it is sent, so part numbers, quantities, finish and revision cannot disagree between the bill of materials, the assembly drawing and the covering email.

  • One release record per revision — part numbers, quantities, surface finish and rev live in one place, and every document derives from it
  • An automated pre-send check on every fabrication package that blocks the send on a mismatch, rather than flagging it after the boards arrive
  • Consigned versus turnkey called out explicitly per line, because that ambiguity is what produces the wrong-part build
  • A logged record of who received which revision, so “who has the latest files?” is answered from a ledger and not from memory

DFM before release, not after the quote

We review manufacturability against the fabricator and assembler who will actually build the board, at their real capabilities, before the package goes out. Minimum trace and space, annular ring, drill sizes, panelisation, testpoint access and paste apertures are cheap to change in the layout and expensive to change in a purchase order. RoHS compliance is the default; where an exemption or a leaded process is genuinely required, that becomes a documented decision rather than an accident of part selection.

Do you offer RoHS-compliant PCB design services?

Yes — RoHS-compliant PCB design services are the default here, not an upgrade. Part selection is filtered for RoHS and REACH compliance during design rather than audited afterwards, and the compliance status of every line travels with the bill of materials. If a design genuinely requires a non-compliant part or a leaded process — some aerospace and legacy medical builds do — that becomes a documented, deliberate exemption rather than something discovered at import.

Can you take over a layout someone else started?

Yes, and it is common. We start by reading what exists and telling you in writing what is salvageable — the stackup, the placement, the constraint set — before anyone proposes starting over. A restart is sometimes the right answer, but it is the expensive one and it deserves evidence.

Do you handle fabrication and assembly too?

We can run it turnkey or hand you the package and step back. That choice does not change the design fee. When we run it, you have one accountable party for the board instead of a design vendor and a build vendor pointing at each other. When you run it, the package is complete enough that any competent house can build from it without asking us a question.

What files do I actually receive?

The native design files, gerbers or ODB++, drill files, netlist, stackup drawing, assembly drawings, pick-and-place, and a bill of materials with manufacturer part numbers. You own all of it on payment. We do not hold design files as leverage.
