Commercial water-treatment equipment — inherited STM32H7 firmware
A control board froze partway through every firmware update, at a different byte offset each time. We did not write this firmware. Four plausible theories were ruled out on real hardware before a probe we built read the fault out of the still-running core.

- Not just a passing build or correct CRC. Done means the device boots, runs its normal function end-to-end on hardware, and survives a hard power cycle.
