Energy Systems Engineering
Built for fuel cells,
EV charging, and
high-power systems.
A hand-selected team of senior engineers covering balance-of-plant, power electronics, embedded firmware, controls, and the certification path. We help senior engineering leaders make the right architecture call before the money is committed.
Where we work
Five sub-verticals. One pod.
The underlying expertise is the same across all five — power electronics, embedded firmware, controls, high-current/high-voltage analog, and the certification path. The pod doesn’t change shape; the application does.
SOFC / Hydrogen / Electrolyzers
Balance-of-plant for stationary fuel cells, APU, data-center backup. Thermal management, gas recycling, CH4/CO2 separation, mass/energy balance, controls around the high-temperature stack.
EV Charging Infrastructure
Level 2 and DC fast charge. Power electronics, BMS integration, comms stack (OCPP, ISO 15118), grid-tie, fleet telemetry.
High-Power Switching + Inverters
SiC and GaN gate-driver design, isolation barriers, magnetics, motor drives, mixed-signal AFE. Industrial servo, EV traction, grid-tie inverters.
Solar + Storage
String inverters, MPPT, residential and commercial BMS, anti-islanding, grid-tie controls.
Server / Data-Center Power Electronics
AC/DC and DC/DC for rack power, high-current and high-voltage analog, telemetry stack, cooling-loop control.
How we engage
A modular engineering ecosystem,
not a fixed team.
We’ve hand-selected the best engineers we’ve worked with across our careers — process, thermal/CFD, power electronics, controls, program management — into one curated pod. The pod scales 1 additional SME per milestone if a knowledge gap surfaces, so academic-founder teams skip the hardest part: forming the team. The commercial moat is vendor-IP literacy — knowing what to demand inside vendor black-boxes (preheaters, blowers, catalysts, gate drivers, MPPT loops) so you don’t get captured by a single supplier.
Past programs
Energy work the founder has shipped
Career-spanning programs across charging, factory automation, robotics, consumer energy, and high-voltage analog. Pod members bring complementary depth from FuelCell Energy, NASA, and 30 years of medical-device discipline.

One architecture call. Before the money is committed.
Tell us where your system sits today. We’ll show you exactly where the pod plugs in — and run the $5,000, two-week Architecture & Roadmap Study if it’s the right next step. Yours to keep, even if the build goes elsewhere.
Talk to Our FounderFrequently Asked Questions
- What energy systems work do you do?
- Battery management, solar and renewable controls, power conversion, and the firmware that runs them — including CAN-based controllers and safety-critical monitoring.
- Do you handle both the power electronics and the firmware?
- Yes. One senior-led team covers the schematic, PCB, power stage, and embedded firmware, so the hardware and control logic are designed together, not handed across vendors.
- Can you design for field reliability and safety?
- Yes — we validate sensor readings, design fault handling and safe states, and prove the system survives real operating conditions and power cycles on hardware.
